My Journey with Supplements

So often I am asked by our community about my supplements.  I often say that my life was saved by my supplements.  Ok, so that may be a little much but that will give you an idea of how much my life changed the day I began to take them.

Truth is that our food supply just doesn’t supply our bodies with everything we need.  Not to mention the runs through the drive-thru & late night ice cream.  Along with the daily stress we encounter and a panic attack here and there, we are just depleted!

One thing I learned on my journey was that even a slight depletion in a vitamin, mineral or amino acid can really affect the way you feel.  Why not fill in the gaps with a daily well produced supplement as a safety net to ensure that you are running efficiently and with the tools your body needs to cope & recover.

So here is my list of what I take.  I included a little snapshot of my supplement packages so you can see what is all included.  What I have stopped taking is the 5-HTP and the Gaba.  Only because the anxiety symptoms are gone, but they are in my cabinet in case of an emergency.  I used to take Gaba everyday at 3pm & 5-HTP at 7:30 and 10pm because I feared the night so much.

I can’t say enough about supplements, but one member of our community shared this with me this weekend “I can’t believe that 5-HTP can make suce a difference in my life.  Why don’t more people know about the power of supplements!” I couln’t agree more!  That’s exactly what I had in mind when this site began.  I wanted to share all the tips I learned along the way that nobody talked about…other options.

Metamucil Fiber (1 serving). Make sure to look for the formulation without Aspartame.  I had to look hard.
