The Loud Voices in Your Head I bet you can't remember the last time you just sat without a thought in your mind. If you are like me thoughts run
in and out of your head, each one hoping to grab your attention. If one does it is like a downward spiral. That
thought can take off in a million different directions. The what-ifs start to take over...what if I have a car accident, what
if my car runs out of gas, what if I loose my mind. Most of these will never happen, but the movie begins to play in
your head and you can see all of the bad things that you feel WILL happen. Learning to take things as they come is a
necessity. Creating a mantra of your very own can correct these thoughts. When the thought starts to go to work on your
mind simply say "Stop", "It's not Real", "Move On" - Whatever you want to signify that it is
not wanted. This takes a little bit of practice, but it will begin to work like a charm. Another exercise that I found helpful was
to sit on the couch early in the morning before the day started & allow thoughts to pass through my head, if they seemed
to stop I would picture my hand pushing them out of the way. This taught me to have a clear mind. Try this daily,
great for relaxation too!

Stop Researching your Health on Medical Websites Have you had an ache or pain and looked it up
on the internet? How many times did you have a horrible disease? Walked around for a
week with a self diagnosis & then the pain was gone. During that week you searched the internet 1,000
times more to verify that you had that. One day I was convinced I had a leg blood clot, called my nurse
friend and she would just giggle. Sound silly to someone outside your head, but inside – stand back
it was full speed ahead. A year ago I had a twitch in my face, I checked to make sure I had disability
insurance. I was sure it was a stroke or degenerative disease. Now, nothing was bad
enough to send me to the ER. But it kept my mind going. If you are having serious symptoms,
please check them out. We want everyone healthy and happy! My point is that I worried
about every twitch, and aching muscle.

The Media Have you noticed that the news does not have any happy news. Well maybe a dog story in the last 30 seconds. Don't
watch the news, or read about it. If you have to, maybe read the headlines on the internet, but resist the urge to open
the horrible stories that grace the headlines everyday. You will relate to every story and carry the stress around with
you. I have found that monitoring the movies I watch has helped a lot too. The last suspense movie I watched was
the Butterfly Effect. I remember because I had a panic attack in the middle
of it. I just choose not to put my body though that stress, because it still remembers how to react.

Focus Have you found yourself not able to concentrate on the task at hand? Have you driven to work & don't remember
the ride? You are consumed in your own thoughts. I found than when doing the simplest tasks the thoughts would
just love to invade my mind. I was always loosing my keys, would put things in the "safe place" and would
not be able to find them. It's all because I was not focusing on the task at hand. Not because I was forgetful.
I
began to notice when the thoughts would creep in. I would simply say to myself "Not now I am busy washing the dishes"
or something to that effect. When putting my keys down I would say to myself "I put my keys on the table".
Funny how jut one sentence can burn in your mind of where you left something. If you look at the whole picture you will become overwhelmed.
Break your day down into small pieces and tackle one at a time. I like to carry a small notebook in my purse that I
list all of the days challenges. As I conquer each one I cross it off. It is very empowering.

The Garnish One night my husband and I were talking about the people around
us. We decided that we really only wanted to surround ourselves with people that made us feel good. Therefore,
we came up with we only want "Good Garnish". Think of a nice dinner, the parsley always finishes off the plate.
Your garnish is going to be people in your life that compliment you, make you excel in life. Don't get
me wrong this has nothing to do with monetary or status reasons. It's more of a spiritual basis. If people
don't make you happy & relaxed why surround yourself with them? If they are lazy or old before their time &
that's not where you want to be - find new "Garnish". It's as easy as that! When you are fighting
to hatch you have to evaluate everything, this is a new birth process.
Who is your parsley?
